I am confused as to all the James J. Darnells. I have the death certificate of J.J. Darnell, born 22 Sept 1836, died 25 March 1911; birthplace Warren County, Tennessee, buried in Graham, Texas (He actually died in Dallas, Texas, but the certificate says he was "shipped" to Graham, Texas. Name of father listed as "Darnell", Maiden Name of Mother "Nelle Ramsey". The mother is throwing me off. I thought this might be a son of Pernella Coleman, until I found a marriage license stating she was actually his wife. Can someone help me straighten this out? Thanks in advance!
