Henry Darnall was the agent for the 1st Lord Baltimore and a somewhat noteworthy person in his day. There is a lot of info on him and it is speculated that because he came to America with some of his brothers that David Darnall is related. I am a descendent of Edward Darnall who was also in the area at this time. Have not found the connection to Henry or david but still working on trying to link Edward with the Darnalls in England. There are sereral Darnall family sites.
According to Sister M. Virginia GEIGER in her book "Daniel CARROLL, II One Man and His Descendants 1730-1978" pg. 294. the manoral estate was 7,000 acres. Col. Henry DARNALL was buried in 1711 at "Woodyard", only half a mile distance from "His Lordship's Kindness." His son Henry Darnall, II inherited the estate. He willed it to his son, Henry Darnall, III. In 1729 Henry, III named it "Poplar Hill." It retained that name until the present century when it was renamed "His Lordship's Kindness." John Walton, of Clinton, MD is the present owner of "His Lordship's Kindness." Poplar hill is now a museum and event site in PG count and has a web site. Type in "Poplar hill" on your search engine.
