Navy Admiral Darlington had a daughter Jane. Jane Darlington was a Lieutenant during WWII. During WWII, Jane was engaged to Charles James Irwin, a Marne Corps lieutenant stationed on Saipan. Charles was a Captain during th Korean War, where he was an advisor to the KMC, the Korean Marine Corps. Jane had eventually married Charles. I am a collector of war letters, diaries, and photos. I have Charles Irwin's WWII letters, and I have his Photographs from Korea.
