Sheryl,
I just stumbled across a death certificate today that may belong to your LD Dark.He was my husband's great-grandfather, so if can pass any information to me, it would be appreciated.
The death certificate is from Cuero, TX.
The deceased's name is given as L.D. Dark.
The date of death is Nov 10, 1935.
He is a white male, and the cause of death is given as bilateral pneumonia. He is described as a laborer. He is described as a "Transient".
The following text is typed on the certificate:
"This man was picked up on the street and taken to hospital in a serious conistion and claimed no relatives or residence."
It states that he was about 50 years of age at the time of death, which would fit with the informaiton given on the 1920 and 1930 census records for him.
The death certificate is signed by Dr. King, who attended to Mr. Dark from November 8th to November 10th in Burne Hospital.
The informant is listed as being the local relief office in Cuero, TX.
Mr. Dark was buried in Potter's Field. The undertaker is listed as E. J. Frennd.
I do have a little more info, so contact me if you get this.
Thanks!
Shellie Karol-Chik
