I was noticing in the Texas marriages database that James C. Darden, son of Berry & Mahala Darden, married within a year of Richard W. Darden, so he must have been part of that group that migrated.I also found this James C. Darden living with Richard H. Austin in the 1850 census of Harrison Co.It appears to me that James C. Darden either married the widow of Richard Austin (and by this I mean his 2nd wife), or somehow acquired a daughter named Florence Richard Austin......a really strange name combination, but that's what the cemetery listing has.In the 1860 census Florence was 7 years old, but in 1870 she was 12 years old.Florence married a W.C. Darden, but I can't find a marriage in the database, just her cemetery listing.
Call me crazy, but I think that James C. Darden was mistakenly enumerated as R. Darden in the 1860 census. I've been looking at those Harrison Co census's backward and forwards for the last day or two, and in 1860, R. Darden was just 2 houses away from R. Scott, also age 31, and also just a few houses away from Richard Austin's orphan's, whose mother had been a Scott.
I think that the Harrison Co court records for the 1850's need to be checked to see who inherited from the estate of Richard H. Austin, if only to find out if Florence is a Darden or an Austin.
