I am looking for information of a John Darcey (or D'Arcy), whose parents were Edward and Kate D’Arcy. John was born around 1839 to 1842 in Edenderry, Kings County, Ireland. During the American Civil War John Patrick D’Arcy participated and claimed that he served as a Captain during the war, but never revealed on which side he fought. He died at 74 years of age in Winton, Queensland, Australia on February 13, 1913.
I would appreciate any information available on him and especially what state he lived in in the U.S. and what unit he served in. jamesmgray@bigpond.com
