Hi,

I am new to ancestry searches. I know my great great grandfather is Daniel D'Arcy who entered the United States through Canada somewhere between 1850-1865 Family lore has him arriving in America the same day President Lincoln was shot. The story also goes he was fleeing a glass tax in Ireland. Does this ring a bell with anyone? If so I would love to share information with you!
