Was the book you speak of "A Genealogical Record of the Dantzler Family by Rev. D. D. Dantzler"? If so, I have a copy and quite a lot of info about the Dantzler/Denzler family. I show, from this book, that your Jacob S.' father was Allen P. Dantzler. I understand that all of the Dantzler/Denzler lines actually go back to the emigrant brothers Conrad and Hans Ulrich. My husband descends from Conrad.
