I show in my information the Hans Jacob who married Barbara Carn in 1771 was born 7-5-1742 in Furst, Illnau, Zurich, Switzerland, died 10-18-1790 in Orangebur, SC. The son of Hans Ulrich b. 8-3-1704 in Furst, Illnau, Zurich, Switzerland, and Margaret Frauenfelder. I show that Hans Ulrich emigrated probably in early 1750 and died before 1756 in Orangeburg, SC.
I have no documentation or primary source for this information, but I have corresponded with several other "family searchers" through the years, and this seems to be the track. Some of these correspondents did reference sources, publications, etc.
If you need more details on this, let me know and I will search my paper files and see what I can find.
