I am trying to reconcile the information in the 52 page book written by Rev. Daniel David Dantzler in 1899 against what I am seeing in family files and getting confused. I am currently working on a family history of the Antilley family of West Texas for their reunion in July. I am not an Antilley descendant, but Thomas Henry Antilley, son of Henry Patrick Antilley of Orangeburg, South Carolina, married my grandmothers sister and I want to put their history together for them.

Here is my question. In the 1899 Dantzler book, Harry Dantzler(I think this is either Hans Ulrich or Heinrick)arrived in South Carolina circa 1839 with 3 sons, Jacob, Daniel, and Henry. Jacob Dantzler married Miss Elizabeth Barbara Carn in 1771. Is this Hans Jacob? I find most postings listing his birth as either 1742 or 1745 in South Carolina. Thereby lies the confusion. Is this Jacob supposed to be the one who arrived in 1839 and if so, he was not born in South Carolina in 1742. Would appreciate some assistance with this. Mary Beth Marchant
