RON, thank you for taking the time to type out COL Dantzler's letter to his sons and for sending the correction later.
He wrote a good letter, considering that he later was KIA. The letter left his sons with his best guidance for their lives.
I would disagree with him on one issue. He seemed to advocate an association with any religion for the sake of appearances. In other words, if they did not have an affiliation with some religious body, what would people say? I realize that his views on religion were commonly held in his day. At least he was straightforward with his sons and told them what he believed.
