I've "heard" that the Dansbys came from England, but I don't have any confirmation on that. North Carolina, ca. 1690 is as far back as I can go. If anyone out there has confirmed anything before that, I would also love to hear from them.
By the way, Robert...Have I written to you before. I can't recall, but I DO have some info. on Florida Dansbys. If you would like to see it, let me know and I will e-mail it to you.
