Dianna-

I have a good bit of information on some of the Texas Dansby's. It depends which line though. There were several individuals who moved to Texas prior to the "wave" of Dansbys who went there after the Civil War.
I don't know if the following people are still alive, but my father carried on a lengthy correspondence with them. If you can't locate them I have copies or transcriptions of everything, but since you are looking specifically for TX info it is probably worth your while to look them up.

Horace P. Dansby [Can't locate his address at the moment](has in his posession the family bible of Durant Motier Dansby (born 9/16/1841 in Macon Co, AL, m. 12/14/1871 in Brazos Co, TX)

and also

Mervin D. Peters [First City Bank of Texsas, Bryan, PO Drawer 913, Bryan, TX 77805-5402] descendent of Daniel M. Dansby, b. 1807, m. Lucinda Cole, d. 1879 and also direct descendent of Durant Motier Dansby, who has in his posession copies and transcriptions of letters written by DM to his wife during the Civil War.
