Newt married Mary Leann Smith Oct. 14, 1875. He died 6 months later (1876). There were no children. We cannot find information at the Livingston library, giving the cause of his death. He was b. 2 April, 1854.
Leann married Samuel Amos Flatt, some time later, and they are my paternal great grandparents.
Newt was a nephew to my maternal great, great grandmother, Nancy Johnson Cooper. Her sister, Anna, married William Phate (Lafayette) Danner. Newt had 14 siblings.
