Margretta, Can you tell me which state this York County is at ?.. I am interested in a Danner line that existed in the late 1700s thru mid 1800s at York & Adams Co, Pennsylvania and just across the state line at Hagerstown, Maryland (Washington Co). Believe the ancestor I study was John Danner, b.1789 - but he and his wife both died Sept. 1832 orphaning 7 children who were probably raised at York Co, Pennsylvania by an Uncle Samuel Danner, believed born about 1784. Not sure how they might connect to yours but if your York Co, is in Pennsylvania, perhaps we should compare more notes. Believe this Samuel & John Danner were sons of Samuel Danner, Sr., born 1756. I'm trying to determine the children's name of John Danner as I believe my wife's ancestor, Phenise "Felix" Danner, b. 1822 was one of their children, but have as yet not provent that. - Allan Griffith, Bloomington, IL - magrif@verizon.net
