Gail, My g-grandfather was William (Billy) Danley, the son of James Dannelly and Susannah Stutts. James and Susannah came to Lauderdale Co. AL about 1830 from Moore Co. NC after a stop in Giles or Lawrence Co. TN. Billy was born in TN. About 1850, James moved his family to Wayne Co. TN. but Billy stayed in Lauderdale Co. AL with his new wife and lived here the rest of his life. So he couldn't be your William. There was a William E. born to Henry Gus Danley and wife, Margaret Brewer, in Wayne Co, TN sometime after 1865. Do not have anything on him. Any help?
