JAMES BROWNLEE is one of the oldest of Tully Twp., Marion or Morrow Co., OH's citizens. His native place is Buffalo, Penn. His grandfather is of Scotch descent. His marriage occurred March 2, 1837, to Miss Angelina Danley, of Washington County, PA.. (I read that David Wilson Danley had daughter named Angelina). Her grandfather sailed for America during the progress of the Revolutionary war, and did duty in the war of 1812. Mrs. B. is first cousin to ex-Governor Wilson Shannon, of Ohio. (The only Wilson Shannon that I can find is the son George David Shannon and Jane Milligan). Their children are ten in number, three deceased; the living are Rev. Hugh L., pastor of Portland Mills Associate Church; Nancy, wife of James Jackson, of Kansas; James E. of Kansas; David W.; Archibald D., of Kansas; Robert X, of Caledonia Mill; William M., also of Kansas.
