It has come to our attention that the family at some point changed the name from Danklefsen to Danklef. You may want to check into it. Also we have discovered that our family left Germany at Breman, and traveled to New Orleans and then up the river to St. Louis. My grandfather and his brothers owned and operated a saloon in Mt. Olive, and their uncle was a distributor for Anhauser Bush. May help in making a connection.
