As far as I know this is not my Daniel/Daniels line. Mine came from NC, across TN into IL, west to KS. Some descendants did go to TX, but I do not see a connection.
Here is the census record for 1860 Dallas Co. TX for the Bachman family.
John B. Bachman, 37, b. TN
Margaret Bachman, 35, b. TN
Wm. Bachman, 13, b. TN
Zalieka Bachman (female) 12, b. TN
Samuel Bachman, age 10, b. TN
Danl Bachman, age 8, b. TN
Amanda Bachman, age 5, b. TX
Letitia Bachman, age 3, b. TX
Mary A. Bachman, age 9 mos. b. TX
The Texas death certificate for Daniel Bachman has this information: Daniel Bachman, b. 5 Feb. 1852, TN; d. 27 Dec 1932, Dallas Co. father, John B. Bachman, mother, Margaret Hughes.
The birth place for Margaret (Hughes) Bachman is sometimes shown as TN, sometimes, NC. My guess is that she was born in NC, but because the family lived several years in TN, it was thought that TN was also her birth place.
Have you looked at the entries at Search Family Trees for this family? Although there are some inconsistencies, it seems pretty true to information found in census records and what death certificates there are. One entry has an obit for Margaret Bachman. At least one entry has the Bachman line coming from Switzerland. And, some sources are listed.

Click on the link, Search Family Trees. The only information you need to fill in is the name John Bachman, b. Tennessee, spouse, Margaret. That Search should bring up a few entries with information about several of the siblings of Mary Ann Bachman Daniels.
