Hello, I think that we might have a connection. My family is from Monmouth, Illinois as well. The earlier Daniel(s) who settled in Monmouth were from Kentucky. One other Daniels family came later which was from Ohio and Vermont. With Arrena C. DANIELS of Kentucky origin, I believe that she may well be related to my ancestors. This would include Warner J. DANIEL (d.1848)who was my GGGGrandfather and Dixon W. DANIELS (b.1835 in Kentucky d.1913 in Dodge County, Minnesota)who was my GGGrandfather. I have been unable, so far, to find where in Kentucky my family came from. I am hoping that if they are related to Arrena, then this might be the connection to Barren County. I believe that before this they came from Virginia. Nancy DANIEL shows up in the 1850 census as being born in Virginia. I think that she may have been the mother of Warner J. DANIEL. I have more of the family tree and names of possible relatives if you would like to contact me.
