MINNIE MAY WELLS was born near Davis City, Iowa, May 30, l876, and departed this life at her home in Ridgeway, April l6, l923, at the age of 46 years, l0 months and l6 days.

She was united in marriage to IRA S. DANIELS, November l8, l894, in Davis City, Iowa. To them were born two children, ZERITA BLANCHE and RICHARD BRADFORD.

In April, l898, MR. and MRS. DANIELS moved from Iowa to Ridgeway, Mo., and had made this place their home since that time.

A short time before leaving Iowa, she was converted and united with the Methodist Episcopal Church on probation, and on Nov. 20th, l898, her membership was transferred to the Methodist Episcopal Church here in Ridgeway and she was baptized and received into full membership by Rev. O.P. Kutzner, who was Pastor at that time. She has ever been a faithful and loyal member of the church, many times working far beyond her strength. She was one of the leaders in Aid Society work.

In the home, as wife and mother, her life was ideal, always loving and thoughtful for others and forgetful of self and filled with spirit of cheer and brightness that made it a real home. When so sorely stricken nearly a year ago, and passing through excruciating suffering, she never murmured, but was patient and courageous, and even cheerful in the midst of pain, and when a few days ago the same trouble was manifest, she was still the same brave, courageous spirit, saying "God will take care of me," and so He did, for Monday morning she quietly fell asleep to awake in that blessed land where sickness, pain and death come not; where there is no sorrow nor separation from our loved ones.

Besides the husband, daughter and son, she leaves a dear little grandson, ROE WINKLER DANIELS, son of BRADFORD, and a nephew, FRANK DANIELS, who has made his home with MR. and MRS. DANIELS, an aged father and mother, MR. and MRS. FRANK WELLS, of Davis City, Iowa; a brother, W.M. WELLS, of Davis City, Iowa; two sisters, MRS. A.A. BUELL, of Davis City, Iowa; and MRS. G.W. POUSH, of Lamoni, Iowa; two nephews, JAMES and OSCAR BENNETT, of Davis City, Iowa; a niece, MRS. BLAINE BUELL, of Grand River, Iowa, and many other relatives and a host of friends.

She will be sorely missed at home, by the church, her neighbors and the entire community. "She rests from her labors, and her works do follow her." The funeral services were held at the Methodist Church in Ridgeway, Tuesday, April l7, l923, at 2 o'clock p.m., by Rev. C.S. Dayhoff, the Pastor, and the remains were laid to rest in the Ridgeway Cemetery.
