My 3rd Greatgrandfather is John Daniels, born 1744 in Mass. There apparently was mixing of lines about that time, and has'nt yet been resolved. He lived in Westchester, NY. More on this Daniels can be found in "Crawford County Genealogy" Vol 8, no 2, Fall 1986. There may be more info on PERSI at the genealogy library. Hope this helps.
