Seeking information on the family of Richard Daniels of Butler County, IA. Richard was born 1819 in NY and moved with his wife Catherine Codner Daniels to WI in 1840 or 1841. Family moved to IA in 1854 or 1855. There were 12 children born to this union: Samuel born 1839 in NY; Lemuel born 1842 in WI, died in 1908 in OK; Lydia born 1844 WI; Alfred born 1845, died in Civil War in 1864; Francis M./Frank born 1848 in WI; Richard Daniels, Jr. born in 1850 in WI; Eugene born 1853 in WI, died 1923 in OK; Martin born 1855 in IA, died before 1870 census; Welsey born 1857 in IA; William B. born 1860 in IA; and John born 1864 in IA, died in 1878 - one child died in infancy.
Richard's parents were John and Abigail Daniels of Montgomery County, NY. John died in some kind of an accident, date unknown, and Abigail moved to IA after his death.
Richard died 15 Nov 1898 and is buried in Oak Hill Cemetery in Parkersburg, IA. Death and burial place of Catherine Codner Daniels is not known.
Would appreciate any information on this family. Have information on sons Lemuel and Eugene if anyone is interested.
