Hi Margaret!

I saw your post to Jack's query. My Daniels family came to the States from CAN. My ggfather Godfrey August "gus" Daniels was b. 1866 Jan in CAN. His parents Jacob Daniels and Adilian Goyette were also born in CAN. I believe they came to the States c.1871. The earliest I have found any of them so far is my ggfather in 1894 on his Montana Naturalization Certificate. 1895 he married my ggmother Elizabeth "lizzie" Burke ( b. 1867(?) May in New Jersey, parents Patrick Burke and Elizabeth Moran fron IRL). 1896 May my gfather, Godfrey B."Burke" Daniels in MT. 1897 Oct. their 2nd son Joseph E. Daniels was born.

My gfather said we're Irish but I'm trying to find out the origin for sure. I know his mother was but I am trying to trace my male line back to it's origin. Do any of these names ring a bell? Any reply would be welcomed.

Thanks in advance,

Charles Daniels
