I'm located in Orange, CT.
I have a list of the children's names of Delia Castle and William Daniels
they are:
Henry
David
Julia-married a Rogers from Rogers Silver Plate Company
Luella-married a Fairchild, had 2 sons Harry and Jesse
Adelaide-married Norman Woods
Lucy-married Fred Pond
Mary-married John Coe
George Franklin-Married Alma Amelia Merwin(my husband's granfather)
William
and Rosa
I also have a journal of Horace Castles with
purchases recorded such as feed, cloth etc. In it he writes that Adolphus went to work for Joel Curtis March the 20. The previous entry is for the year 1826.
My husband's aunt(Alma Aletha Daniels Perkins)wrote down that Horace's wife fell into a fireplace while pregnant and was blinded. She wished for a baby with blue eyes and gave birth to Adolphus(which Aunt Lee said interprets as blue eyes)
Most of this family stayed around the Harwington, Litchfield area. Some in Waterbury.As to the indian connection, my husband and father-in-law said there was an indian somewhere in the background. You know there are Daniels in Canada. I wonder if it could be a tribe from there(Iraquoie(spelling?)).
Rosa is just listed as a child of William and Delia.
