Would it be outrageous to assume the following:
)With the shield resembling that of the D'Anyers family of Over Tabley (not to mention Fitz Nigell) that Robert's "heritage" is indeed English? Is it possible that his pedigree derives from Cheshire, even though, as a growing majority of us believe that he was born in Llandewi Brefi?
)Or, with his motto being the same as the Daniell family of Ireland (Meath, I believe) that his roots are more celtic and supplanted in Wales or Ireland?
)Third, if the tiger statant has a fleur-de-lis on it, does it put more validity to any Norman roots, placing more emphasis on the Chesire theory?
)And finally, does this close the door on any possibility of Scottish roots (as presupposed by the LDS database.)
