Gloria,
This John Danford, father of Alfred Green Danford, was b: 1832 in GA. He is listed in the 1850 Census Talbot Co., GA. (I have yet to identify his parents) He m: Emaline Renfro 1852 in Talbot Co., GA. After a few years (1857-1861) in LA, they ended up in Tallapoosa Co., AL. (1870-1880-1900 Census)
He does not appear to be the same John you are looking for.
Please let me know if you see any connection for my John.
