Hi
I was reading through the message board and see that you have quite early dates and near the same areas that my line of Danford lived in,in OH. I have found Tunis Danford joining the military civil war and living with a woman in the 1850 Shalerville census a Mary Jane (Mattoon)from Belmont OH. I assume they married for they had 2 girls but up in Poratage Co. nothing else to be found, oh except that he states his father was French and mother German he im self born Montreal Canada as far as I can figure 1816-1824. Does this ring any bells at all?
