Looking for info on Civil War veteran John Darford, Darsford, or Danford, who served with Company B of the 87th Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry. The regiment mustered in York in September 1861, but Darford joined in July 1864, probably as a draftee, and was from Hammersly Fork, Clinton County. He was shot in the arm at the 3rd battle of Winchester. He was born 1817/18 and died August 16, 1890.
