Could he have been William P. DEAN, 69, PA PA PA, father-in-law of Wm. WILLIAMS, 46, whose wf. was Sarah, 36, PA, of Liberty, Pulaski Co., MO, 1880, on the census database at FamilySearch?
I did a quick search for various spellings of the DANE surname but didn't get anything on USGenWeb < MO > Crawford Co.
Can you be more specific about Wm. P. DANE? Can you answer any of these questions? What were his dates and places of birth, marriage, and death, and the names of his wife and children? What kind of pension application did he make?
