I recently received a box of stuff belonging to my grandfather. In it was a genealogy book which shows my Dane ancestors (among others) going back to John Dane of Ipswich, Mass (huge props to my great-grandmother, Annie Edmands, who put the whole thing together, apparently). This was an extremely exciting find for me, as you can imagine from my earlier messages on this board. I spent two days entering the information in the book into my Family Tree Maker software and have updated my gedcoms at both Rootsweb and Gencircles, if you'd like to take a look. You can start here: http://worldconnect.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?db=ckdane I'll do the direct Dane line here so you can check and see if our Dane lines cross over. William Dane (b. 1561, England) - Susanne Elsted John Dane (Berkhampstead, Eng.) - Frances Bowyer John Dane (Berkhampstead, Eng.) - Eleanor Clark John Dane (Ipswich, Mass) - Abigail Warner Daniel Dane - Mary Annable Daniel Dane - Abigail Burnham John Dane - Jemima Fellows Joseph Dane (US H. of Rep, Maine) - Mary Clark Nathan Dane (Kennebunk, ME) - Susan Dutch Smith Nathan Dane (Kennebunk) - Caroline Lydia Goodwin Francis Smith Dane I (Lexington, MA) - Annie Lawrence Edmands Francis Smith Dane II - Edith Thacher Francis Smith Dane III - Judith Renee Conrad Kyle Dane I'm sure there are some mistakes, I've already found a couple, so feel free to email me with any corrections or comments (ckdane@yahoo.com). Happy Hunting, Kyle Dane Notify Administrator about this message?
