My wife descends from Jonathon Dandridge b 1755 at Drayton St Leonards, married to Ann Darvell 1784 at Wooburn, Bucks. We are trying to track back to Bartholomew Dandridge which will then connect us to our American cousins, and their rich history, but keep hitting dead ends. Does anyone have, or have look up access to, 1) Marriages at Wooburn 1653-1812 by Thos Gurney, Phillimore Parish Register series 69-103, 2)Wooburn Residents 1803 by Mary Ray, or 3) Wooburn Settlement Papers 1993 by Eve Mclaughlin?
Of course if you have research material that gives the line I would appreciate its details. My feeling is that the line goes back from Jonathon to Francis (1688-?) possibly (just)by another Francis, to Francis (1652-1738)and back to Francis (1619-1708)younger brother of William and son of Bartholomew ( 1580-1618)
but I could be wrong.
I will have some wonderful and historical links to advise if we can make the link. Anyone?
