Iam looking for the parents of Martha A Dancy. She was mentioned in the Will of William Edwards as his granddaughter. It is possible her mother was dead at the time the will was writte.
The Iredell census for 1830 lists John Dancy
1 male under 5
1 male under 10
2 males inder 15
1 male 40-50
2 female under 5
1 female under 10
1 female under 15
2 females under 20
1 female under 40
the next household is William Edwards

" "" "" Charles Edwards
William is the father of Charles and Lemuel
I believe one of Williams daughters married a Dancy, possibly from this family.
Does anyone know this Dancy family?
