The Frank Dancey/Dancy I am researching was born about March 1853 in Illinois per 1900 census and in Mclean County according to some family. Another family member said he was in Bureau County, Illinois between 1870 and 1880. I found a Frank Dancy with a family that was not his own and thought he might have been a nephew. The father's name was Nathaniel and they lived in Bureau County, Illinois, in 1870. In 1880 this family had moved to Cherokee County, Kansas. Nathaniel's wife was Lucinda Casey.
Frank Dancey/Dancy married Helen Wright, daughter of James Casey Wright and Caroline Elaine Sartain, daughter of John Sartain and Sallie Ball. They were also from Kentucky and went to Illinois, then to Kansas and some on to Oklahoma.
The Wright, Sartain and Dancey/Dancy families seem to be connected in several places but I can't make the connections as yet. I am wondering if James Casey Wright was a grandson of Nathaniel and Lucinda Casey Dancey.
Do you have any other info which might help connect the families or sort them out. Thanks
