Was the Col. Francis/Frank Dancy, who built the house in 1829 in Decatur, Morgan County, Alabama, a Justice of the Peace in 1830?
My Great, Great Grandmother, Margery (Garrison) McCanless, said in three affidavits that she was married by J.P. Frank Damcy on a marriage license issued on 9 Feb 1830 in Morgan County, Alabama.
Any and all help is sincerely appreciated.
