The Jim Dancy you are referring to, married to Carrie was my great uncle. Aunt Carrie was my grandmother's sister. Jim Dancy was raised by my grandfather, Alexander Dancy, of Jefferson N.C. (Ashe County). His son Dennis Dancy (my uncle) died about 15 or 20 years ago, but his wife still lives in Ashe County. His sons, my first cousins, Jeff and Jimmy Lum Dancy, still live in Glendale Springs (Ashe County). My Brother, Kermit Dancy, who lives in Jefferson, NC has traced much of the genealogy of the Dancys in that part of NC back to the 1700s and from there back to Ireland.
