Aline Buckhanan
Services for Aline Buckhanan, 83, of Elkhart will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church of Elkhart with the Rev. Bill Gernenz and the Rev. Mike Mynatt officiating. Burial will follow in Pilgrim Cemetery under the direction of Bailey & Foster, Palestine.
Mrs. Buckhanan died Wednesday morning at Cartmell Home of Aged.
She was born Nov. 8, 1922 in Anderson County to G.B. and Annie B. Johnson Carter.
Mrs. Buckhanan was retired as a nurse from Memorial Hospital. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Elkhart and the Palestine Chapter Eastern Star.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Nolan Buckhanan; sister, Eloise Dancer Carnes; and brothers, Roy Dancer, Bud Dancer, Joe Dancer, Dick Dancer, Clarence Dancer and Wade Dancer.
Mrs. Buckhanan is survived by her daughter, Patsy Nichols and husband Carrol of Elkhart; a son, Ken Buckhanan and wife Linda of Palestine; sister, Moni Eichelberger of Austin; seven grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Condolence calls will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Bailey & Foster, Palestine.
