The information I have is mixed. Libby Overby's book states they were married on 7 January 1839, but does not give a location. The book says her information came from the "Dance Family Bible" and was provided to her by Eliza Rohre of Round Rock, Texas, back in the 1980's.
The other information is from Ancestry.com. They have a page that shows "Overby marriages in Virginia,1740-1850". It lists Henderson Overby and Ann H. Dance marriage on 30 January 1839, in Halifax Co. VA.
You could check the dates with a Halifax Co. lookup.
I have not done that.
