Looking for Edmund Dance who went to Jefferson County, Tennessee between 1830 -1840. Believe he is the father or relative of Bedford Dance who married Mary Ann Newman, and a Martha Jane Dance who married Claborn Cate in Jefferson County, Tennessee. Edmund came from Halifax County, Virginia. Found him there in the 1820 and 1830 Census. Both Bedford and Martha Jane state they were born in Virginia. Found in the marriages of Halifax County, Virginia on the 26 Oct 1818 that Edmund Dance and Sarah F. Forrest married. Surety was Isaiah Forest. Would like to compare notes with anyone working on this line. Thanks- Connie
