While trying to locate things on my family lines DENEY/ DENNIE /ETC I came across a lot of info of the DANA family of New York. There is a Dorothy Dana aka Dolly Dennie/Dachsteter daughter of Captain George Dacksteter (son of Cornelius & wife a Mohawk Indian). This particular Dorothy (Dolly) Dacksteter/Dana(Dennie & Tenny) was married to a JOHN DENY @ 1787. DOROTHY was born @ 1764., died in 1833.
The writeup that is found in "Madison County- Early Settlers" says:
DANA, DOLLY An Oneida Indian to whom lot A Purchase of 1817 was set off by the state. She sold this to the Lenox Iron Co. Husband JOHN DENY/DENNIE/DENNY died prior to 1807. Sons JOHN and ABRAM(Abraham). Lot A was 200 acres. Dolly sold 100 acres to Lenox Iron Co. Aug. 12, 1817. The other 100 acres she sold to the same Comapany Feb. 9 1819.
Theres a lot of info you may want to check on in the Madison and Sullivan Counties of New York.
