My name is Mark Hilton and I am researching a Dana line for a friend. We come to the line via an adoption.

Her grandfather was Guy Dewitt Nelson, son of Hervey F. Nelson and Harriet Alice Dana (usually listed as Alice). Alice's parents were James W Dana b 1831 (from Maine) and Harriet C. Dana b 1844 (from New Hampshire). They lived in Boston where Alice was born in 1858.
