The tie in to the Dana family is Carolyn Starr Burdett's mother. She was the daughter of Israel Thorndike Dana. Her name was Carrie Starr Dana b. Portland, Dec. 28, 1865; d 7/12/1895 m. Oct 19, 1887 Frank Waldo Burdett, b. Brookline Oct. 29, 1859, d. Nov. 6, 1919 son of Horatio Stearns and Mary (Martin) Burdett; entered Harvard College 1879, but did not graduate; of the firm of Silver, Burdett & Co. publishers; deacon of Harvard Congregational Church, Brookline.
Children: Dana Stearns Burdett b. June 7, 1889; Carolyn Starr Burdett, b. Dec. 11, 1892 m. Raymond S. B. Perry; Alice Martin Burdett, b. Mar. 21, 1895
