Paul W. Damron, 68, of Julian, went home to be with the Lord on July 29, 2012, at his home.
He was born December 9, 1943, and was a son of the late Benjamin Franklin and Allie Mae Williams Damron.
He was a retired coal miner for Westmoreland Coal Company with 24 years of service and was a member of the UMWA. He was a member of West Madison Baptist Church. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
He is survived by his wife, Monna; daughters, Shirley Sue "Suzie" Price of Woodville and DeAnna Journell of Foster; son, Douglas Lee Damron of Danville; grandchildren, Douglas Lee Damron II, Megan Leanne Damron, Jordan Scott Damron, Nathaniel Paul David Journell, Sean Michael Price and Kaytlin Eileene Price; and several nieces and nephews.
Service will be 11 a.m. Thursday, August 2, at West Madison Baptist Church with Pastor John Browning officiating. Burial will follow in Montgomery Memorial Park, London.
Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Handley Funeral Home, Danville.
