Marcia,
Charles A. J. Damon was my great-grandfather. I don't know all of the information that you are asking but I can fill in some of the blanks.
His full name is Charles Andrew Jackson Damon. He was born May 18, 1834 in Vermont (this date is from his gravestone)and in the Damon Family Geneology book, they list his birth as May 25, 1828 in Vermont. He died Oct. 27, 1913 in Mazomanie, WI. His parents were Martin R. Damon, born in Vermont in about 1794, died in 1879 in Farmersville, NY and Roxalalia is his mother's name and there is no record of her maiden name. She was born in Vermont about 1805 and died in 1863 in Farmersville, NY.
Here is a list of his siblings:
William Henry Damon married to Betsey
Sally Damon married to a Mr. Hopkins
Daniel Damon married to Emeline
Elizabeth Damon
Lyman E. Damon married (1)Almura,(2)Melvina,(3)Sarah
John W. Damon married to Almeda
Betsey Damon
Mary Damon
Eunice L. Damon married to Spencer V. Earl
Alonzo W. Damon married to Amelia
Martin R. Damon Jr.
Ellen Damon married to William Magher Jordis
Charles was married 3 times:
#1 Elizabeth Hellendorf born about 1878 in NY state, died 1860 in NY(per a write-up on Charles I have her died in Stones Pocket, Sauk Co.,WI). Charles and Elizabeth had 2 children, Alpheus Eugene Damon and Alzina Cornelia Damon.
#2 Anna Baker in about 1867. She was born in England about 1841 and died in January 1889. They had no children.
#3 Martha Jane Remley on June 8, 1890 in Black Earth, WI. She was born Oct. 28, 1868 in Blue Mounds, WI and died Feb. 8, 1944 in Madison, WI. She's buried in Mazomanie next to Charles. She is the daughter of Conrad Remley born in Bohemia in 1825, died January 6, 1885 in Vermont township, Dane Co., WI (he is also buried there). Martha's mother was Harriet, born in NY state in 1834,died Jan. 18, 1895 in Waupun,WI. Martha had 2 brothers from the marriage of Conrad & Harriet: Charles Remley and Franklin C. Remley. Martha had 5 step-siblings from Conrad's first marriage: Joseph Remley, Emmy Jane Remley, Edward Remley, Edgar Remley and Thomas Remley. Martha and Charles Damon had 2 children: Martin L. Damon and Alvina Cecil Damon.
This is pretty much all I know right now. If I come across more, I will let you know.
