Norman,
I am an American living in Paris, France. My paternal grandmother's maiden name was Damery, and she grew up in Maine. Her name is Ruth Damery, and her parents were Catherine and Richard; she was Swedish, he was (or so I've heard) 100% Irish, with family still living in Ireland.
I actually travelled to Ireland (Dublin, and then Limerick Co. (Adare))last weekend with my boyfriend (who is Irish, from Abbey Feale, Limerick Co.) and my interest in this part of my heritage was definitely peaked.
