Hi Norman,
We have never met but I have read much of your research on the Damery family through mutual contacts (Judy Eccles Wight, Patricia Damery, and Robert Scott Damery). You have done a marvelous job on the Damery branches in Ireland! There are several of us doing research here, but it has only been recently (since the Internet) that we have all been able to get in touch with one another. I am so glad we are all finally communicating.
Just in case the word has not gotten out yet, we are trying to organize a massive Damery reunion at the Bethel Church in Blue Mound, Illinois to commemorate our ancestor, Richard Damery and also to exchange information and photos of the family. I will post more information as plans become more set.
Question for Norman: Do you think there is a possibility that our James Damery (c. 1797-1865) could be a son of Richard Damery (bapt 1763)who was a son of Richard and Ann, rather than a son of John (son of Richard and Ann)? Does anyone know anything more about this Richard (bapt 1763)or his descendants? Just wondering....
