I researched Halifax county records years ago. My notes show:
Feb 1796 George, john, and Betsy Dameron sued in Halifax County

July 1798 Halifax records show George and John in legal suit, John not resident in Halifax at that time

Juily 1801 and May 1801 George in Halifax County suit, John had resided in Mecklinburg City, NC

Dec. 1805 George mentioned along with wife Sarah in Halifax legal documents

I have this george as the same as the George in Lincoln (NC), and George the revolutionary war POW. Is that accurate?
