Recently released VA ChanceryCourt records indicate a connection between the Lincoln Co NC Damerons and the William Dameron of Amherst Co VAhttp://www.lva.virginia.gov/chancery/default.asp#res
The documents say John Dameron of Lincoln Co was a cousin of Rev. William Dameron of Amherst Co VA. David Dameron of Lincoln was the surety for the marriage of Nancy Dameron and John Huson 1803 Lincoln Co. The records also mention the William Dameron estate that connects to the William Dameron estate notation in Lincoln. They are the same family.
There is no mention of George Dameron of Lincoln, but the suspected John Dameron of Lincoln was living with George Dameron in Halifax Co VA and married Elizabeth Boyd George's wifes daughter. Also this would suggest George and William are of the same age bracket.
Hopefully this will began a dialog to establish, some new thoughts on the family of Christopher and Sarah Ball Dameron and present additional info on the unplaced Damerons of Northumberland Co.
