I just don't know. DAMERONS are hard to document. David's daughter Mary C DAMERON, married Bennett Kendrick STANSELL, 1 April 1828, Newton Ga. DAMERONS lived early Republic of Texas, Northern Counties along the Red River. As a Texan I would like to connect these early settlers.
The lady below applied for DAR, she lived in Hobart IT (OK). My Great Grandmother also lived in Hobart IT same time (she was daughter of Bennett K STANSELL) Hobart 1900 was small town, so it would safe to think them DAMERON kin. Rebecca STANSELL LACKEY, b 1832 Newton Ga died 1903 Hobart IT ( she did name son Joseph S, no David or George. Of course, these names might have died with no records.
Hobart IT, and her son Moses Hammond LACKEY,lived in Medicene Mound Texas side Red River. They lived in Lamar County Texas, also along River River
Another clue, is name ENGLISH, lived Bonham Tx. I think some tie to DAMERONS, they were earkt Texan too.
