Here's what I know about George and John C. Dameron:

George Dameron Jan. 25, 1759 – 1832

March 1777 Joined Revolution, age 18

March 1779 Captured by British
October 1783 Released by British at end of hostilities

Jan 5 1785 Married Sarah Boyd (widow of Andrew Boyd) in Pittsylvania County, Va

1790 indebted to Mr. Blodgett in Halifax County, Va.
1794 Joseph and George involved in legal suit in Halifax County
Dec. 28 1795 John Dameron and Elizabeth Boyd married on 12/31/1795 in Halifax County, witnessed by George Dameron and Sarah consents for Elizabeth (Sarah is Elizabeth’s Mother)

Feb. 1796 George, John and Betsy (elizabeth) Dameron sued in Halifax County
July 1798 Halifax records show George and John in legal suit, John not resident in Halifax at this point
1800 Lincoln County Census shows George with wife (both over 45) and son age 16-26
July 1801 and May 1801 George in Halifax County suit, John resided in Mecklinberg City, NC
Dec. 1805 George mentioned along with wife Sarah in Halifax legal documents
1810 George on Lincoln county, NC census, Thomas also shown with wife on same page next to George, who was shown with wife and young (under 10) female (daughter?)
April 19 1820 George and Elizabeth Dameron witnessed land purchase from Thomas Dameron


John C. Dameron B: 1773 d: before 1820

Dec. 28 1795 John Dameron and Elizabeth Boyd (1776- 1854) married on 12/31/1795 in Halifax County, witnessed by George Dameron and Sarah consents for Elizabeth (Sarah is Elizabeth’s Mother)

Feb. 1796 George, John and Betsy (Elizabeth) Dameron sued in Halifax County

July 1798 Halifax records show George and John in legal suit, John not resident in Halifax at this point

1800 Census in Lincoln County, NC 1 male and 1 female between 16 and 26, 2 males under 10, with 2 slaves
July 1801 John in Halifax legal suit and records mentioned that he resided in Mecklinberg City, NC (Note: Mecklenburg City doesn't exist as far as I can find. Mecklenburg County is immediately easy of Lincoln County, NC)
Dec 2, 1818 regarding the estate of Joseph Dameron Sr., Samuel Dameron made oath in Caswell County that he heard John C. Dameron acknowledge that he was indebted to Joseph Sr. the sum of $195 as part of the price of a negro boy

Aug. 19, 1820 Elizabeth Dameron and Edward B. Dameron commanded to appear in Caswell County as Executors of John C. Dameron’s estate in regard to Joseph Sr.’s estate.
